With 28 years in Fire Engineering, Tony, PFITS Consultancy's lead Technical Director, brings extensive expertise as a Chartered and International Engineer specialising in performance-based fire engineering design, project planning, building assessments, design reviews, technical support, and local government processes.

Tony’s proficiency lies in both the Acceptable Solutions (C/ASx) and the Verification Method (C/VM2), allowing him to contribute effectively to performance-based designs.

With over 35 years' in Passive Fire Protection, Alan leads PFITS Consultancy's efforts in this field. As the Passive Technical Director, Alan brings a wealth of practical experience in passive fire system design, technical support, inspections, audits, testing, compliance monitoring and technical skills training.

Alan's expertise includes actively contributing to writing the Code of Practice for Intumescent Coatings (as part of SIG Group), and authoring the NZIOB Innovation Award for Canterbury District Health Board Passive Fire Training Programme. The programme was first of its kind in New Zealand, combining practical and theoretical training, on site monitoring and reporting, and intrusive or destructive inspection techniques, leading to significant improvements in quality control.
